METI Government of Japan Internship Program 2025
The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan offers a fully funded internship program for international Undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD students. This program provides an opportunity to gain professional skill experience in Japanese companies, understand Japan’s advanced work culture, enhance global career prospects, and also provides up to 3000¥/day for living expenses. The Application deadline is 30th June 2025.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a citizen of a country on the OECD/DAC list, except the People’s Republic of China.
- Be between 18 and 40 years old.
- Be enrolled in or have graduated from a higher education institution (junior college, technical college, university, or graduate school)
- Must know English or Japanese (JLPT N3+)
- Be able to commit fully to the internship program’s schedule and activities.
- Must not have joined the METI Internship from 2016 to 2024
- Agree with the program’s purpose and be willing to cooperate in promoting the internationalization of Japanese companies.
