Italian Government Scholarship 2025 Fully Funded

MAECI offers this Government Scholarship for international Master’s and PhD students who study in top universities in Italy. This Scholarship covers all living expenses, Tuition Fee Exemption, and provides up to 900 euros per month. The last date to apply is 16 May 2025.

This scholarship is available for the following types of programs:

Master’s Degree Programs
PhD Programs
Research Projects under academic supervision
Courses in Arts, Music, and Dance (AFAM)
Courses in Italian Language and Culture for students learning Italian outside Italy

Benefits

Monthly Stipend of €900
Tuition Fee Exemption at public universities
Health and Medical Insurance
Duration: 6 to 9 months (can be renewed for longer programs)

Note: Travel expenses (airfare) are usually not covered.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for this scholarship, you must:

Be a non-Italian citizen
Hold a Bachelor’s degree for a Master’s and a Master’s degree for a PhD student
Be under 28 years for Master’s and 30 years for PhD or arts programs
Have a good academic record
Provide proof of English language or Italian language proficiency
- IELTS/TOEFL for English programs
- B2 level in Italian for Italian-taught programs
