CGSS Participated at Five Years Of China Pakistan Economic Corridor – A Story Of Success And Opportunities organized by SDPI

On 25th April, 2018, A seminar was organized in the backdrop of completion of five years of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) on May 22, 2018. The Seminar was hosted by Embassy of People’s Republic of China, Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) and Ministry of Planning, Development and Reforms, Pakistan. Minister for Planning Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal said that (CPEC) has become global brand as the entire world is showing great interest to join it. Guest Speaker from CGSS was Major General Hafiz Masroor Ahmed, (Retd) – Vice President CGSS). During the seminar he discussed role of CPEC in connectivity within region and beyond. China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is an important innovation, creating opportunities for growth and development in Pakistan. The speakers at the seminar emphasized the important CPEC developments over the past 5 years.
Addressing in the seminar the Chinese Ambassador H.E Mr. Yao Jing said that five years of CPEC were years of construction and development and symbolize the bilateral friendship of both the countries for last seven decades. Various distinguished speakers discussed how CPEC will lead to improvement in the field of agriculture, energy, infrastructure, tourism, financial integration and much more.
