On 5th April, 2018, The National Security Advisor, Lieutenant General Nasser Khan Janjua (Retd) welcomed the delegation from Republic of Tajikistan headed by Dr. Hakim Abdullohi Rahmano- Head of Department on Analysis and Foreign Policy Perspectives (Vision) of the Center for Strategic Researches under the President of Tajikistan. General Janjua gave a detailed presentation including the pictures of Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and pictures portraying the beauty of Pakistan and which highlighted the Northern region of Pakistan which is closer to Tajikistan. In addition to this he showed pictures to give a lighter introduction to the Armed Forces of Pakistan, sports, culture, animals, birds, dances, food, musical instruments, handicrafts and paintings.
Dr. Hakim stated that his vision is to collaborate with CGSS to enhance the terms and mutually collaborate in learning languages of both countries. Tajikistan is in a buffer zone in terms of security in the region. He mentioned that they want to know about Pakistan’s view so together both countries can change the negative perception.
The aim and focus of the meeting with NSA was to discuss the elements of regional security, and mutually agreed solutions.
