CGSS Participation at the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Conference at Beijing, China

On 25th April 2019, The Chinese government arranged “Thematic Forum on Think Tank Exchanges” as part of second Belt and Road Forum for International Conference at Beijing, China. CGSS represented Pakistan and Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Taimur Akram, (Retd) – Executive Director CGSS presented a speech on “Joint efforts Building a community with shared Future for Mankind”.
The other members of panel discussion, in which CGSS was a part were:
a. Mr. Zhang Zheng – Editor-in-Chief of Guangming Daily, China
b. Mr. Dznitry Zhuk – Director and Editor-in-Chief of Belarus Today Publishing House
c. Mr. Zhou Shuchun – Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of China Daily
d. Mr. Wang Jian – Vice President of China Communications Construction Company Limited
e. Mr. Mansour Abo Alazzm – Managing Editor of Al-ahram Newspaper
The session was attended by representatives from 57 countries. It is also worth mentioning that the only other speaker from Pakistan, at another session of the same conference was Former Prime Minister Mr. Shaukat Aziz. The participation of CGSS at this prestigious forum is an acknowledgement of its efforts of in promoting regional connectivity.
