Tenth Session of the Online Internship Program “Contemporary Dynamics of Azerbaijan”

On 4th September 2020, the tenth session of the Online Internship Program “Contemporary Dynamics of Azerbaijan” was held. This internship program is initiated jointly by Center for Global & Strategic Studies (CGSS), Islamabad, and the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Pakistan.
The theme for the fourth week of this internship is related to Education & Science in Azerbaijan. Innovations & Objectives. The session was commenced with the opening remarks of Ms. Mehreen Gul, Program Director, she mentioned the importance of this internship program and also emphasized that students can play an important part in strengthening the bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
Dr. Mehmood Ul Hassan, Eurasian and CIS Expert and Member Board of Experts, CGSS was the speaker for this session. He gave an in-depth presentation on the Education System of Azerbaijan from its independence till date and how it has been developed to meet the international standards of Education.
Dr. Mehmood also emphasized that special importance is given to the consistent and comprehensive development in both private and public sector universities. Moreover, innovative development projects in Azerbaijan are also in the spotlight. Azerbaijan has initiated modern industrial parks, innovation projects, and e-government projects are also being introduced. Dr. Mehmood also highlighted that special attention is paid to science and technology from the primary level to higher secondary education in all schools and universities in Azerbaijan so students are well equipped with modern technology in all fields.
Furthermore, he encouraged the students to apply for summer and winter schools in Azerbaijan that offer scholarships to students from Pakistan as it is important for young minds to explore and experience the culture of Azerbaijan for strengthening bilateral ties.
It is noteworthy that students from across Pakistan have enrolled for this exclusive Internship program. This program will prove to be a milestone in improving the bilateral diplomatic relations of Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
