Visit of Mr. Faizan Haq-University at Buffalo to CGSS


On 24th March 2017, Mr. Faizan Haq, visited the CGSS where he was received and greeted by the Vice President of CGSS Major General Hafiz Masroor Ahmed (Retd), Ambassador Amjad Majid Abbasi, Member Advisory Board CGSS, Brigadier Akhtar Nawaz Janjua SI(M), (Retd), Member Advisory Board CGSS and Mr. Makhdoom Babar Member, Advisory Board CGSS.
Mr. Faizan Haq has been teaching Islamic Cultural History along with, U.S.A. relations with the Muslim World since 1996 at State University at Buffalo. He has been a lecturer for Intercultural Communication at Buffalo State College since 2004. In addition to Islamic Studies, his academic interests include: Intercultural Studies, International Relations, and Media Analysis. He also has taught courses on Islam in relation to Democracy in the U.S.A. and in the World. Presently, he is developing courses on Muslim perception in the Media, Contemporary Middle Eastern Politics, and Relations between the Islamic world and The United States.
Faizan Haq is an active member of the Western New York interfaith Community and is an alumnus of Leadership Buffalo 2007. Recently he has been engaged in University Express program at Erie County and has been presenting on Pakistani Americans at the Crossroads, Islam and Women, and Muslim Cultural Identity.
Discussion on how to build bridges between the two states was carried out with other feasible options focused on grooming and training the students through designing various programs to improve their practical skills by amalgamating the expertise and experience of Mr.Faizan Haq and the CGSS.
