Meeting Between Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, University of Punjab, Lahore and CGSS Management with Ms. Aqsa Nawaz, DG, Central Asian Republics (CARs), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan

On 2nd December 2020, a meeting was held between Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, University of Punjab, Lahore & CGSS Management with Ms. Aqsa Nawaz, DG, Central Asian Republics (CARs), at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan.
During the meeting various initiatives to be taken under the Regional Integration Center established in Punjab University, Lahore were discussed. It was also decided that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Center for Global & Strategic Studies (CGSS), Islamabad, and Punjab University, Lahore will collaboratively work towards enhancing regional connectivity.
Academic and cultural exchange programs with Central Asian Republics were also brought under consideration. It was also decided that in the year 2021, a Pakistan and Central Asia Regional Integration conference will be organized at Punjab University, Lahore.
Ms. Aqsa Nawaz appreciated CGSS for its contributions in strengthening multilateral ties of Pakistan in the region and vowed to provide full support for future initiatives.
