Visit of CGSS Delegation to Institute of National Security Studies Sri Lanka (INSSSL), Colombo

On 25th October 2017, a delegation of CGSS including Major General Hafiz Masroor Ahmed, (Retd) - Vice President CGSS, Mr. Babur Suhail - Vice President CGSS, Mr. Ashfaq Gondal, Former Federal Secretary - Member Advisory Board CGSS and Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Taimur Akram, (Retd) - Director CGSS visited the Institute of National Security Studies Sri Lanka (INSSSL), Colombo and met Mr. Asanga Abeyagoonasekera – Director General of INSSSL. The Institute of National Security Studies Sri Lanka is the premiere national defence think tank of Sri Lanka under the Ministry of Defence which works with government to craft evidence based policy options and strategies for debate and discussion to ensure national security. The institute conducts a broad array of national security research for the Ministry of Defence. Both the institutes decided that they will work collaboratively on exchange of research, internship exchange programs and more enhanced bilateral ties between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. It was also agreed that joint seminars will also be arranged by both the Think Tanks.
