Progress Evaluation Meeting


On 1st December 2016, an “In-House Discussion” was arranged by the Center for Global & Strategic Studies (CGSS), attended by the worthy Advisory Board Members (who were available in Rawalpindi/Islamabad). The subject meeting was hosted by the Lieutenant General Muhammad Zahir Ul Islam HI(M) (Retd), Chairman CGSS, and was also graced by the Ambassador Akram Zaki, Former Federal State Minister, and Member Advisory Board CGSS. The event was also attended by 22 other Advisory Board Members of the CGSS.
Major General Hafiz Masroor Ahmed (Retd), Vice President CGSS welcomed the participants followed by a detailed presentation on the ongoing activities of CGSS given by Brigadier Pervez Khalid Babar (Retd), Member Advisory Board CGSS.
Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Altaf Tahir SI(M) (Retd), Member Advisory Board CGSS gave an introduction of his newly written book “Tafeem-ul-Bashar.” Later he also presented a copy each to all the participants.
Ambassador Akram Zaki, Former State Minister for Foreign Affairs, gave a detailed overview of Pakistan-China relationship and the members discussed on how to explore more avenues for enhancing the bilateral relationship between the two countries. The Advisory Board also approved that CGSS should carry out a detailed study on further enhancing Pakistan-China cooperation and the said paper will subsequently be shared with the concerned authorities.
In the end, lunch was hosted by Lieutenant General Muhammad Zahir Ul Islam HI(M) (Retd) for the participants of the meeting, at the Islamabad Club.
