In-House Session on President Xi Jinping’s second tenure: Expectations and Its impacts


On 24th November 2017, an In-house discussion session was held at CGSS to discuss President Xi Jinping’s second tenure: Expectations and Its impacts. The event was chaired Ambassador Amjad Majid Abbassi – Member Board of Governors, CGSS. The session was attended by the following dignitaries:

The agenda of the discussion was the Chinese President’s re-election as the President and his vision of ushering the new world order based on sustainable development across the globe through Chinese success model. In this discussion the participants discussed about the Chinese President’s vision of Belt and Road Initiative, implication on Pakistan, region and the wider world. Furthermore, the panel also gave series of recommendations which may need conscious attention in order to overcome various impediments to President Xi’s vision. Professor He Bin, Chief of Bureau of Chinese Guang Ming Daily specially attended the session and briefed the audience about the President’s Xi Jingping’s historical speech, on the occasion of his re-election.
