Online Training Session “Soft Skills are the New Hard Skills”


On 12th January 2021, Center for Global & Strategic Studies (CGSS), Islamabad organized an Online Training Session “Soft Skills are the New Hard Skills”. The trainer of the session was Ms. Laraib Fatima Hassan, Public Speaker, and Personal Development Expert.
The training session highlighted the significance of soft skills in contemporary times particularly at the workplace. The training session aimed to bring to light the importance of soft skills, as these are attributes that enable you to engage in meaningful interactions with others. Since most jobs require teamwork, it is important to possess soft skills to enhance one's employability to perform well at the workplace.
She eloquently highlighted the important soft skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills that are necessary to practically implement in daily life. Furthermore, basic difference between hard skills and soft skills as well as appropriate body language was also explained.
Ms. Laraib highlighted several situations and areas where the soft skills can be helpful such as Academic & Professional Life, Job interviews, Scholarship interviews, Official meetings, Interacting with seniors or juniors, and Presentations.
The training session was attended by 70 participants and was streamed live on the Facebook page of CGSS.
