Interactive Session with His Excellency Ismatullo Nasredin – Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Pakistan

On 14th June 2019, Area Study Centre, University of Peshawar in collaboration with CGSS organized an Interactive Session with His Excellency Ismatullo Nasredin – Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Pakistan on “Pakistan- Tajikistan Relations and Enhancing Academic Institutional Cooperation”.
The discussion focused towards the enhancement of political and cultural cooperation between Pakistan and Tajikistan. His Excellency deliberated upon various areas where Tajikistan and Pakistan can work together for a mutually beneficial relationship. He stated that if we have a common past then we must have a common future also. Pakistan is very close to Tajikistan and in future we can collaborate in joint researches. It was discussed that there are many areas in which Pakistan and Tajikistan can jointly work together for the promotion of brotherly relationship including trade, economy, promotion of tourism, cyber and IT related issues and joint seminars/conferences. He also emphasized the need for increased cooperation amongst the academic institutions of both the countries.

d. Ms. Mehreen Gul – Director Center for Global and Strategic Studies (CGSS), Islamabad
The session was followed by an interactive question and answer session which highlighted significance of the bilateral relations amongst Pakistan and Tajikistan and the role of Tajikistan in regional peace and prosperity.
