Six weeks On-Campus Internship Program for the Under-Grad Students of Bahria University is being organized by Center for Global & Strategic Studies (CGSS), Islamabad.
Mr. Shahzad Nawaz, Communication Advocate and Media Specialist, Shahzad Nawaz Consulting, and Member Board of Experts, CGSS discussed Pakistaniyat, patriotism, and love for one's motherland.
Mr. Shahzad Nawaz gave a motivational and inspirational lecture to the interns, he discussed Pakistaniat and emphasized that love, devotion, and respect for the motherland comes above all.
During his lecture, he also suggested books related to the history of Pakistan. Talking about the flag and its importance he mentioned that our flag, language, and anthem are the ones that show our identity, our national Anthem and language define our modernity and sub-culture.
Discussing the protocol and flag rules 2002 he explained that the flag must never be hoisted in darkness. It must be raised at dawn and lowered at dusk except on the parliament of Pakistan which is the only official building on which the flag is never lowered.
He also asked interns to explain their understanding of the Flag of Pakistan and then explained the history of the flag and its link to Muslim history.
Discussing the meaning of patriotism he stated that, national pride is the feeling of love, devotion, and sense of attachment to a homeland or the country. It is the alliance with other citizens who share the same sentiment to create a feeling of oneness and unity among the people.
Mr. Shahzad Nawaz also emphasized the importance of the Urdu language, he disused its origin and history as well.
The lecture was followed by an interactive session and was moderated by Ms. Aneesa Asad, CGSS Intern & student of 8th Semester, Bahria University, Islamabad.
