CGSS arranged visit of CARs delegation to National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC)

On 20th March 2018, CGSS organized the visit of the CARs delegations to National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC). The presentation began by introducing the status of Pakistan’s agriculture, the challenges in agricultural development, food security, poultry, livestock and crop production. The discussion highlighted the areas of mutual collaboration including agricultural growth, farming, food security, international food standards and exchange of relevant scientific literature and other research documents between Pakistan and all Central Asian Republics. Food security and efficient natural resources utilization through joint research projects is of crucial importance.
The delegates were then shown the experimental fields where NARC scientists practice their knowledge to develop new technologies and new crop varieties and followed by a briefing about the performance of NARC institutes and their contribution in research and development.
