Visit of China Association for International Friendly Contact to CGSS

A five-member delegation of ‘China Association for International Friendly Contact’ visited CGSS on the 21st November 2016. This Chinese think tank was established in 1984 and is currently collaborating with 200 organizations in 60 countries. This Chinese think tank has 34 branches in China. Following members of the delegation paid a visit to the CGSS:

  1. Deng Wenqing (Head of the delegation and Secretary General of China Association for International Friendly Contacts)
  2. Mr. Ren Shaungjie (President Xinjiang Association of International Friendly Contacts)
  3. Mr. Shi Boyin (Secretary General Xinjiang Association of International Friendly Contacts)
  4. Mr. Chen Yijiang (Senior Research Fellow Xinjiang Association of International Friendly Contacts)
  5. Mr. Cheng Liang (Senior Research Fellow Xinjiang Association of International Friendly Contacts)
CGSS and Chinese delegation had a detailed meeting on the future cooperation at the CGSS office. Following attended the event from CGSS:

CGSS also hosted lunch for the Chinese delegation at the Islamabad Club. The lunch was also graced by Former Ambassador Akram Zaki- Former Secretary General and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (Member Advisory Board), Lieutenant General Khalid Naeem Lodhi- HI (M) (Retd)- Former Secretary Defence, Lieutenant General Mustafa Khan HI(M) (Retd), Mr. Arif Azeem- Former Federal Secretary(Member Advisory Board). The participants also discussed at length about the Pak-China Friendship and CPEC.
