Twelfth Meeting of the CGSS, Area Study Centre and CPEC Centre of Excellence

On 8th August 2019, CGSS delegation led by Lieutenant Colonel Khalid Taimur Akram (Retd) - Executive Director CGSS attended the twelfth meeting of the CGSS, Area Study Centre, University of Peshawar and CPEC Centre of Excellence which was held at Area Study Centre, University of Peshawar. The meeting was held to finalize the arrangements regarding the two days International Conference titled “Belt and Road Initiative, (BRI) China – Pakistan Economic Corridor and Trans-Regional integration” to be held at Area Study Centre, University of Peshawar on 11th and 12th September 2019. The agenda of the meeting was to review the progress regarding the subject conference which will be attended by prominent dignitaries from China, Russia and SCO countries. The meeting was attended by the faculty members of Area Study Center and the following:
a. Prof. Dr. Shabir Ahmed – Director, Area Study Center, University of Peshawar
b. Prof. Amir Khan – Head of Policy, CPEC Centre, Islamabad
c. Mr. Syed Ali Nawaz Gillani – Secretary General Pak-China Friendship Association
d. Mr. Akhtar Amin – Deputy Director – Distance Education, University of Peshawar
