Open House and Sangam Club Gala 2019 at the Embassy of China, Islamabad

On 30th December 2019, Embassy of Peoples Republic of China, Islamabad in collaboration with CGSS organized an Open House and Sangam Club Gala 2019 at the Embassy of China, Islamabad which invited around 150 students from various universities.
His Excellency Yao Jing – Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Pakistan addressed the students at the occasion and stated that Sangam Club is a new venture for the enhancement of Sino-Pak friendship and it would go a long way in further cementing the people to people contacts between the two iron-brother nations. He stated that the year 2019 has been a very significant year for the bilateral relations between China and Pakistan and Prime Minister Imran Khan also visited China twice this year. He further stated that this event is a token of love from our deepest hearts for the Pakistani nation particularly youth and China is always there for Pakistan to support at all the platforms. Pak-China relations are deep routed and we enjoy all weather relationship, and all-round cooperation.
The student participants at the occasion included The Millennium University and College (TMUC), Quaid-e-Azam University, NUML University, Pakistan Institute of Development Economic, Fatima Jinnah Women University, National University of Science and Technology, Bahria University, Allama Iqbal Open University and Arid Agriculture University.
Several performances were presented at the occasion including Chinese Martial Arts by Superior Institute of Chinese Marshal Arts, students from Confucius Institute and Pakistani Band performance. Approximately 250 people attended the event.
