Third Session of the Online Internship Program “Contemporary Dynamics of Azerbaijan”

On 10th August 2020, third session of the Online Internship Program “Contemporary Dynamics of Azerbaijan” was held. This internship program is initiated jointly by Center for Global & Strategic Studies (CGSS), Islamabad and Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Pakistan.
The session was commenced with the remarks of Ms. Mehreen Gul, Director, CGSS and Program Coordinator of the Internship Program. She highlighted the importance of initiating this internship program to further strengthen the diplomatic relationship and bilateral ties between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
Theme for the second of this internship is related to “The role of Azerbaijan in the system of international relations & its foreign policy and the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Mr. Sultan Zahidov, Instructor at the Department of Modern Integration Processes and Diplomacy of the Faculty of International Relations and Economics, Baku State University was the speaker for this session. He gave an in-depth presentation regarding the topic and highlighted that Azerbaijan’s foreign policy aims to achieve full fledge economic independence and preserve the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Furthermore, he explained the participants regarding Azerbaijan’s relations and contributions with International organizations including, United Nations, Organziation of Islamic Cooperation Relations.
It is note-worthy that people from across Pakistan have enrolled for this exclusive Internship program. This program will further enhance Pakistan-Azerbaijan bilateral relationship, and people to people contact.
