MoU signed between Center for Global & Strategic Studies (CGSS) and Ibne Sina Institute, Ankara, Turkey


On 27th September 2020, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Center for Global & Strategic Studies (CGSS), Islamabad and Ibne Sina Institute, Ankara, Turkey.
Lt Col Khalid Taimur Akram (Retd), Executive Director, CGSS was invited to a live program hosted by “Mavikaradeniz TV” a television channel broadcasted from Istanbul, Turkey.
During the program Col Khalid Taimur Akram (Retd) discussed the 2050 vision presented by the Turkish government that focuses on the improved health care system for the elderly citizens of the country. He emphasized that Pakistan fully endorses this vision and CGSS will actively work to introduce and support this vision in Pakistan as well.
He also discussed that Pakistan and Turkey enjoy close brotherly ties we appreciate H.E President Erdogan for raising voice in support of rights of Kashmiris in his UN speech.
On discussing the Nagorno Karabakh issue Lt. Col Khalid Taimur Akram highlighted that Pakistan has always stood by Azerbaijan against Armenian brutalities and he also mentioned that Pakistan is the only country who has not recognized Armenia.
During the live program a Memorandum of Understanding was also signed between CGSS and Ibne Sina Institute, Ankara, Turkey recognizing their common interests in various fields of mutual interests.
It was agreed that both organizations will work together as sister institutions in areas of research, health policies to launch an effective advocacy program to spread awareness and to promote world peace and resolution of international conflicts at platforms like United Nations.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Kemal Aydin, Ibne Sina Institute, Ankara, Turkey and Lt Col Khalid Taimur Akram (Retd), Executive Director, CGSS signed the MoU on behalf of their organizations.
