Meeting of Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, University of Punjab, Lahore and CGSS Management with His Excellency Ismatullo Nasredin, Ambassador of Tajikistan to Pakistan

On 2nd December 2020, Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, University of Punjab, Lahore & CGSS Management visited the Embassy of Tajikistan to Pakistan and met with His Excellency Ismatullo Nasredin, Ambassador of Tajikistan to Pakistan.
During the meeting, various educational cooperation between Pakistan and Tajikistan were brought under discussion.
His Excellency Ismatullu Nasredin emphasized that Punjab University being the most eminent university of Pakistan, can play a significant role in exploring possibilities to establish academic linkages with universities in Tajikistan. It was decided that Punjab University, Lahore will organize an Education Expo in Dushanbe Tajikistan in 2021, to introduce the student fraternity of Tajikistan to Punjab University, Lahore.
Furthermore, keeping in view the admiration and respect for the works of Allama Iqbal in Tajikistan it was decided that initiatives will be taken to promote Iqbaliyat in Tajikistan with the help of Pakistani experts and historians.
It was also agreed that the Center for Global & Strategic Studies will facilitate the University of Punjab in strengthening ties with academic institutions of Tajikistan.
His Excellency Ismatullu Nasredin appreciated the productive role of CGSS in promoting bilateral ties and friendly relations between Tajikistan and Pakistan.
